I spent a lot of time on mine. Looked at a lot of examples too, for about a year while I planned it. It's too dark for pictures tonight, but a quick description is something like what's in your picture, but I ran the stakes a little higher so I can carry 16 foot lumber and have it clear the cab. It has a steel back board that runs to just below the back window and little mini-stakes that go on top to extend it up above the cab. You have to have a good headboard if your using it for any kind of work. I used regular channels and standard bed pockets with the matching metal shoe on the stakes. I originally had some light duty ones, but for removing & changing the sides when you're using it, you really want commercial grade pockets. They aren't that expensive & well worth it.

I used mahogany with stock black metal strips (hidden T-bolt type) for the bed & I cover it when it's working. I have a set of low sides about 14" high out of mahogany so it's easy to reach over and into, plus it's high enough to take three scoops if I'm picking up sand, gravel, or mix. Low sides are also so the scoop on the tractor can clear the sides when dumping a load into the bed. Lastly, I left the rear fenders on and notched them so they're a little proud, and the bed sits down in the fender a little. It kind of retains the look of the stock fenders and much better than flaps. Over all, the bed is 99" x 75".

I put a Rugby 3510 (5,000-7,000 lb dump unit) on it. My bed is a hair shorter because I needed a good hinge point & wasn't going to cut or weld the frame.

I'd do it all exactly the same again. I'll try to get pictures tomorrow or the next day and put 'em somewhere if you're interested.
