Six Volt Starter Dissasembly Photos

Inspired by the posts below, I decided to try to tackle the starter rebuild. Got it taken apart and cleaned. Ready for testing. Not sure if brushes should be replaced. Armature looks good but I will have it tested. Frame was a mess, but cleaned up pretty well. Will have it tested also. Hope cleaning solvent didn't damage anything. Starter switch may be the culprit. I think the contacts are OK, but not sure how to tell. Missing screw from the side, possibly for automatic choke so probably not original to the truck. Will keep you posted on progress. Would appreciate any comments and advice based on photos and descriptions.
