New band/lining from the factory or an after market maker does not come that way nor do they instruct you have that done for a PW. That's because it is not necessary on the PW. Once a new shoe is mounted, and adjusted properly, the shoe tents to bow out due to tension, not requiring cutting/chamfering. Not ever part designed for the same purpose is made the same, some lighter materials, some heavier and because of this, and where they are mounted, some require different prepping before use. I can see doing it for bands mounted to the transmission where bearing wear and torque will deflect the drum and cause it to rub against the band, but on the back of the TC, it’s only impacted by bearing wear.
