Yes, Sears is junk now. It seems to the low-budget mechanic has two choices for hand tools: Harbor Freight (same quality as Sears, but much cheaper and rarely a hassle returning broken stuff) or yard sales and pawn shops. I've found some real good tools at yard sales over the years. Most of the time the kids selling dad's stuff don't know one brand from another and if you get there early you'll often find good brands and cheap ones all thrown together in a box.
