I cant help on the ZF question as I use NV-4500's. However, hydraulic power on a MU-2 FFPW or LU-4 M37, works well. I use Char-Lynn motors # 101-1026 which is rated 4.5"3/R. My Carryall winch is controlled with a manual spool valve. My M37
is controlled with Mile Marker high pressure solenoids. Both work great, one is cheap the other way is costly. In both PS Pump on the Cummins B3.9 power both the hydroboost brakes, power steering and winch.
