Very interesting discussion, I made the following comment several days ago, and HOWARD corrected me, and I did not reply as to not start a political arguement.
I still stand by my comment that the policies of the administration as well as the congress has a lot to do with the supply of oil.
"if this current administration does nothing about oil prices, hang on for $5.00 gas, and who knows where "over the road" diesel will end up."
I'm sorry if I missed a post, but where in the Constitution does it say that it is the job of the Federal Government is to provide cheap gasoline? If you want to quote the commerce clause please do, but that also let's the Fed regulate how we buy health care, and that is a very slippery slope.
