I have a friend with a 95 Dodge 3500 with V10 and auto and way over 500K by now on original engine. never had any problems. its all about maintenance. i have had many customers over the years with american vehicles with 300 to 450K on them. I was in the boneyard last year getting toyota timing cover for the 4 cyliner truck engine (1990s). they had about 7 trucks there with the 4 cyl. not one had over 180K yet all dead in the boneyard.
