WC 54 with Power Wagon cab

I think it started as an ambulance.

Those who said 3/4-ton WC were right. The sloping hood is definitely from a carryall or an ambulance. The battery location and small generator are wrong for a Carryall.

It's not 1/2-ton sheetmetal. 1/2-ton would have taller rocker panels and a flatter floor.

The vent windows indicate civilian Power Wagon doors.

The windshield, dash, and steering wheel are military WC.

I'm not aware of any 3/4-ton military closed cab pickup.

I'm going to guess that someone must have grafted the roof and back of a Power Wagon cab onto an ambulance cowl.

If I had a Power Wagon cab, I would have swapped the whole cab, but I can only guess that someone thought it easier to dissect the seam above the windshield and leave the guages and steering column in place.

And I beleive those ar AA Ford truck wheels.
