The trucks are totally different, but the 1961 TW and 1960 W500 have the same basic hood. There is not enough room for a 6BT unless you push the engine into the cab or do something else radical.
A 6BT will fit into a 1961 W100 pickup with less effort and of course it fits into the 1972 and newer trucks without much trouble at all.
Unless you want to do a lot of firewall modification or you want to move the grill forward I would use the 6BT for something else.
