I believe all the civilian Power Wagons, and most or all of the WWII 3/4-tons had the fin-and-tube type of radiator, not the honeycomb type. I just looked at the one in my '49 flatfender PW, and it has the fin-and-tube type. Dodge (and probably other makes) started doing this commonly in WWII, so that the radiators could be made to continue working by simply pinching off a tube, if it developed a leak. The book, "Dodge Military Vehicles, Collection No. 1," mentions this.

Once again, the war effort drove practicality, ruggedness and durability.
