You will need either the M601 or PW cast iron brakets, can't use the M37's. The crossmember dimensions should be almost identical.
The TC driven gears are the same for both sides and the housing mounts are identical, providing the stop for the shift rails. Therefore yes, you can swap the housings to drive a center propeller shaft. You will need to make a linkage that will work your emergency brake, if you want to use it.
You will need to modify your propeller shafts length, TC shift linkage lengths, emergency brake linkage, mounting of TC brakets.
All is doable!
