The high screech sound is probably from cracks in the cab where it rests on the insulators. Take the floor covers off, except for the tranny's. Then look for cracks around the cab bolt area. Look under the cab also. Look also at the back corners of floor where it meets the seat corner.

If the speedo cable is not turning, then it's probably broken (worn from use) or your speedo is frozen and it snapped. You need to check each module out.

The thumping can be from flat spots in the tire when they are cold and eventually will work out after a couple of miles. Hold your hand on the tranny cover and see if the thump and if you feel a hit, are in time with each other. If so, you are back to bad insulators.
