I bought some mainshaft shims at a Ford dealer. I know, I know, I admit it...I've bought 435/205 bits and pieces at all Big Three dealerships, as well as the aftermarket.

Ford's parts numbering system begins with an alphanumeric code representing the decade and year of the decade, i.e., right now is "G1" for "G" for decade 2000-2010, "1" for 2001; the part numbers end with a Change Level, starting with A and running up through the alphabet.

These shims had P/N B7T-7160-B.

One change since 1957!

How long has New Process built the NP435, anyway?

Ed
