I neglected to mention that I'm also installing an Advanced Adaptors Ranger III Overdrive unit which sandwiches in ahead of the four-speed, pushing the tanny/T-case back 7.375".

"All time easiest way" WHAT! NOT DO SOMETHING THE HARD WAY!
