OK, pull out the spark plugs, get yourself a plain brazing rod, stick it in one of the plug holes, rotate enging by hand to BDC, mark brazing rod, rotate to TDC and mark brazing rod again, measure between marks, and you have found your stroke. This will let you determine if you have a 251 or a 265 crank. If it is a 265 crank then you have a "goody" but a 251 is OK. Now, if I only had a book here on the dark continent, I could tell you which was which but I think someone will have those numbers at hand.
