Sealants...

Windscreen/shield sealant is black and sticky, and doesn't go off fully so it retains a certain amount of flexibility. This means it's good news on modern glass but b!"Ły useless on Dodge glass.

I used to use a grey 'semi-structural panel mount and sealant' from a UK company called 'Bodyline' when I was mounting all the Dodge panelling, and I found out it was ideal for embedding the windscreen and side screen glass in, 'cause it sets off almost solid. One day I was buying some and said to the counter chap 'it's a pity they don't make this stuff in black' 'No problem' he says, and comes back with the black version.

It's just the stuff you use to put a bead on a panel before mounting it - bound to be a US version out there. Cheap too !
