I have 83900585, just 38 behind yours. If the speedometer is original, look for a ink stamped date on the back housing. Mine was dated April '46 I believe. (I had to exchange it for one that worked.) Not sure if the gauges have dates, I haven't taken them out of the panel. Also the wheels have a date code, month and year. (3 of mine are dated 2/46.) Of course these only would be the earliest you truck could have been built.
Not sure of any way to prove to the State of WA your truck is really a '46. I wouldn't worry about it. You know what it is.
