might have been added by the local Dodge truck dealer or another local aftermarket truck body dealer when the truck was new. It may have been ordered as a cab & chassis only if the wait for the truck to be built by the factory to specs was not too long. If too long, the buyer might have purchased a pickup truck from dealer or regional stock and replaced the pickup bed with the utility bed. The bed does not sound like a brand of utility bed offered by the factory, thought I can't say for sure. My best guess is it was an aftermarket utility bed. Sounds like a great truck you have there!
