The Power Wagon was announced to the public in late very January or early February, 1946, so your truck is not only a 1946 model year truck but most likely was also built in calendar year 1946. It probably was registered as a 1947 truck because it may have been sold at retail and first registered in calendar year 1947. I am not aware of any breakdown of WDX serial numbers between 1946, 1947 and 1948. All WDX serial numbers are usually lumped together, so you may have a difficult time proving to the satisfaction of the WA authorities your truck is really a 1946 model. In fact, both the 1947-53 and 1947-56 Power Wagon Parts Books list the WDX as a 1947-48 truck and do not even list 1946 as a model year. So you will need some good luck to accomplish your task.
