Keep in mind there is more to a softer ride than just springs. Don't forget the shocks and the tires.
Remember also these dudes were not designed for soft riding. They were designed to work in the field. The trip to town to get the groceries was secondary.
Also don't forget to get a nice soft seat cushion.
