Thanks for all the kind words, guys. I know many others have had had much more difficult times, but this stuff does wear on you. Thanks to those that have offered their help while I'm in PA; I hope we don't have to take you up on it, but it is so good knowing it is there.

We did buy a puppy. The silence around the house was deafening. If she turns into half the dog that my Sara was, she will be a good one.

The animal world is so mysterious. Our two cats that don't get along, were on my chair the night we put her to sleep and were hugging each other. Our cockatiel, who always called my name and Sara, stopped calling her the next day. My son's dog came over last night and spent two hours smelling every part of the house and paid no attention to anything, including the pup. After that, she came to me, laid her head on my lap and just looked at me. Pets do mourn.
