I'm really sorry to hear about your dad's health problems, and of the loss of your dog.
It seems things come in sets sometimes. When my dad died, (1969) my dog got hit by a car 2 days later and died. Your dad's condition will have to take it's course, but I hope you will look for another dog. Jerry
