front axle rebuild...

I am looking at rebuilding my front axle on the WDX and have some questions about what parts to order.

Aside from the front axle seal & gasket kit from Vintage, what else would be required for an overhaul? I am assuming that I will find things in questionable condition once I have it torn apart, so what else should I consider before I order? If anyone has another retailer in mind I would appreciate the information...

I also plan on doing the knuckle bearing conversion that Paul has engineered, as well as the front disc brake conversion from uglytruckling.com. Although the latter will probably be done after the housing has been refurbished...
