I've had my W-500 for sale for a long time, and I've gotten quite a few communications about it. some folks were genuinely interested... but others are only interested in wasting my time and theirs.
For the past few weeks I've been dealing with this "person" in Northern CA who keeps saying he's interested in buying my truck. First he was gonna get together a bunch of his buddies and their club was going to buy it. I gave him a really good price, and... nothing. Days later, I get an email saying the deal fell through. Whatever...
Then, a couple of weeks ago, he's back, sniveling that he can only come up with $5,000 and can we do the deal? Well, I really need to sell the thing and I said, OK, if you're sure this will happen, let's do it. He tells me he's sending the check.
Then, a few days ago, he says he'll bring the money with him from Las Vegas, and exchange it for the title after he looks at the truck, which is in So. CA. Still fine - I arrange for someone to be there to show it to him, and...
On the morning he's supposed to show, I get an email saying, "oh, the deal I had planned didn't go through, can't get the money, sorry." This, after he's told me to tell anyone else interested that the truck was SOLD. Nice, huh?
