I bent my own but you need to have a bender to do it. As someone else noted, it needs to be done cold. Manufactures cut or roll the threads from bar stock.

The ones in the pic are 5/8" hardened stainless. Made up hardened rollers and the inside roller has to be 1/2" smaller your wanted size as they spring out when finished. Mild doesn't do that.

Manufacturer I worked with was sending them out for small oddball runs. He was being charged a $100.00 set up fee for each size. He sent me the threaded straight lengths and after seeing the results he bought his own bender and does it in house now.

Most any old school spring shop makes their own. Just call around and I'd be surprised if you don't find one. Look for a shop that does spring work for semi's/big trucks. Broken springs are VERY common and they replace the U bolts a LOT.
