It's nice to get back into the swing of things from my old roots. I went back to work for the Forest Service part-time in the paint shop, this is the latest truck being built. Getting ready for some Variprime, and then some good old Imron to give it a tough finish. We'll be adding some lift to the front to bring it up a little higher, but so far the truck is handling the weight very well. The tires will be changed out, but even the street tires did well on the proving grounds. The 5.7 engine does great, a little under-powered, but that's a good thing in our specs. 4:11 gears in the low range give it no limits off road. I should have gotten a picture of it after it came out of the woods, it wasn't pretty. But th truck definetly carries the tradition of Dodge in the woods and fire fighting. I'll post some other shots as the project continues. There are going to be 10 more of them to be completed, this is the first of 11 total to be built, all 2012 models.
