will, i have several of the runtz and other brands of resistors/reducers that i tried to use. i found that even with one rated at twice the amps the wiper motors would not function properly for any amount of time. i finally bought what i consider the correct component for real use of 6 volt wipers in a 12 volt system. it is available at ron francis website. it is the vr-4 voltage reducer. i installed one in the 6x6 with good results.
