For illustrative purposes, it would be best to compare the energy stored in a stock PW with a small load in the bed to a large-tire PW with no load. Use the math to back-calculate the "equivalent load" in the bed of a stock PW that makes it comparable to a large-tire PW. It is a very simple procedure and would provide a pretty intuitive comparison and perhaps alleviate your concerns.

So for example, I may find that the braking perfomance of a stock PW with a 400lb passenger is the same as a large-tire PW with a 160lb passenger. This is just an example of the type of answer that would be very easy to produce.

If you know the geometrical properties of the 11.00R16 and 9.00R16 I can do the math quickly and let you know how it shakes out.
