The yellow drys into rubbery, the black to a hard plastic.
The yellow stuff is good for gluing lots of stuff. Like sticking gaskets to parts so the gasket won't fall off while you position the part. Like a thermostat and gasket glued into the outlet.
Silicone really isn't much of a glue. It doesn't really stay stuck that well to many materials. And leaves a film on everything it touches. But at least you can pry a pan off. I used one of the poly urethanes for my windows and etc. And Permatex makes a hyper somthin-er-other that was the first time in 40 years of wrenching that a tranny pan didn't seep. It's an opaque blue somewhat metallic looking. Aluminum powder filling perhaps?
