My wife has a 2008 jeep wrangler unlimited and we haven't had much better luck. It has so far been reliable in the sense that it gets us there, but it has had problems kind of like yours. We have had two front axle seals leak, a side window on the hardtop came loose and almost fell out, the gas tank vent failed and would force gas out of the tank when the pump shut off, the one cigarette lighter plug quit working due to "corrosion" on the connector, the dimmer switch quit on the turn signal stalk, and the paint is bubbling on every door hinge. All but the paint have so far been covered by warrenty, I am still waiting to hear back about the paint even though the tech manager says the problem has to be a surface prep problem. Apparently I don't learn because we traded in a 2002 liberty mostly because the engine had a somewhat disturbing ticking noise at 80,000 miles. I kind of think jeeps just don't like me, probably because I think they should be able to go offroad like my M37 and IH scout.
