OK then...well why don't we farm out our prisons to China/Mexico/India as well then? Why stop at manufacturing...just let them put a quote in on a per person per year basis...I'm sure they could undercut our prices there as well, no?? ;)
The reason we can't compete is because it's not an even playing field...& it never will be. You can't compete here when our wages are 2000% higher for the same work & the companies do not treat their employees none too good, I might add.
Do you know that cars & trucks are much cheaper in the US than Canada? To protect the dealers, Car manufacturers won't sell to us if we come down & try to buy them...that's what a responsible company does to protect its dealers. That's also what a responsible Government would do to protect it's peoples livelihoods.
It's not going to drastically change my life Glen, & I don't have children but if I did, I'd be worried for them.
The problem we have is that it's like a snowball effect & just like here with Dodge Power Wagon hubs...95% of the folks will always support the cheapest alternative if the quality is comparable...regardless of the damage it's doing because they don't understand it.
