Thanks for the article which I will forward to my son who is in his Junior year at college and hasn't yet got beaten up by life. He drives the 41 Carryall which likes to mark it's territory every time he parks it next to the privileged BMW's and fancy foreign cars whose owners never will understand that the old iron has way more "soul" and style and experience then the "look what my parents just bought me" modern vehicles.
Although he is young and looking up at that first rung of the ladder , he already has most of the skills needed to climb to the top rung and he learned those skills by being patient ,asking questions and not assuming that things will come easy in life if you don't work for it.
So Jonas even though you are still a young man in years , your article will help teach the next generation to keep their eyes and ears open and it will certainly be something I will pass on to all my kids.
For the rest that don't see the PW context ,give your self time and maybe you might have the opportunity to experience working with your children and building their character while "wrenching " on this old iron that has brought us to this site.
