If forgiveness doesn't occur, what is the point of ending the war? If that is the case, all wars would go on forever, or until there is no one left. At some point, we have to stop
hating and stop fighting. But for some people it's easier to fight than to forgive. As another earlier comment alluded, our backgrounds enter into our thinking. How we were raised to think and to feel is sometimes very hard to change.
