I have read several books on the war in the pacific, the books that deal with the japenese soldiers prior to the US's involvement after pearl. Burma, phillipenes, and the other islands in the pacific is a horriffic reminder of what people are capable of. throwing women and chilren off of buildings and betting on which ones will scream the loudest before hitting the pavment, sound like someone you would forgive and not hold a grudge? the very people that did these things are honored in their homeland with statues and treated as heroes. I have to stop now before I get out of bounds. Dave.
