Wittenberg conversions are ugly but sure makes it easy to work on the engine. From what I've seen, Wittenberg always put an MU2 winch on them with a jerry-rigged cable-actuated PTO and a torch cut through the radiator bracket. They must have gotten a deal on MU2s back then. Wittenberg was a surplus dealer on Hwy 99 in Federal Way back in the '60s. I've always wondered what they did with all the M37 fendera and hoods they took off. The Wittenberg yard is long gone today.
