Maybe, you should wire directly to the pump from the battery to eliminate electical problems. Then check pressure and volume out of the pump.
Pay special attention to the oil activated pressure switch. You must have a bypass to allow the pump to run before pressure builds. Maybe, the pump is running only on the bypass, and not on the pressure-activated switch. So, the engine dies of fuel starvation after a couple minutes.
