I figure all of us have about the same problems with consumables for our trucks. having said that thought I'd pass this on. last time I bought a set of wiper blades from XXX they were 10 dollars each and twelve shipping! apparently they were also nos and were already 20 years old or more, needless to say they lasted a whole three months and they were shot(coming apart at the ends) so I got to thinking about what an alturnitive would be. the solution was easier than I thought. carfully take the arm off of the truck and then the wiper off of the arm, on the ends there will be a small piece of stainless that holds the refill in place in on the blade. with a little patenice the rubber can be replaced and put back together. first will take about thirty minutes, after that about fifteen! take a piece of your old rubber with you to the store to match to a BRAND NEW rubber blade. a single 18" refill will make two 9" replacements for our trucks, at about 1/8 the price(I gave 4.99 at WW) I'll spend 45 min. of my time to keep 25.00 in my pocket anytime!) plus it adds one more little thing to our little bag of tricks. plus if yours does like mine most of the time it only takes a couple of hours destroy itsself once it starts. no waiting for ups, or fed-ex way quicker no waiting!! just a note to let all know that it can be done, and it's easy!! Dave. PS retired after thanksgiving, didn't even tell the axxholes, just didn't go back!!! Dave.
