As you guys mmay know I gave my power wagons to my nephew. I have started a similar vice, navy whaleboats. I am restoring one with a westerveke/Perkins 4.108. It ha a leaking head gasket/warped head. Ian going back together with a planed head and new gasket but their is a corrosion pit in the deck if the block right where the steel oart if the gasket for #1 cyl lays. It goes across about 80% of the width of the steel part of the gasket. I am not sure if it will seal or not. Anybody have any advice? Can't decide if I should just try it or put something in the pit. The pit us not very deep, I would say.010" or so and about half the size if a grain of rice
