Interesting stuff!

I have a repair manual for the 1942 WC series (including WC-53), and it says the stock engine produces 180 ft-lbs gross torque at 1200 rpm, and 176 ft-lbs net torque at 1000 rpm. It doesn't state horsepower at the flywheel, although I think it's probably around 90 - 94 hp achieved at something above 3000 rpm, based on what I know for later model trucks.

So it sounds like you probably improved horsepower somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 - 35%, and torque by about 31% over stock, although at a different rpm than where the stock torque peaks out.

Do you have numbers to show what your mods did for the torque at the lower rpm where the stock engine torque maxes out?

Thanks,

Matt
