The best way to measure out a frame, in my past experience, is to go by the rivets in the frame. They will most likely be a little different on both sides. The truck is old, and has been used. Take an average between sides, and make a decision from there. The rivets tend to be a constant on the truck, moving less than any other part. I would not depend on someone else's measurement, as their's will be different than your's, no matter what. Keep in mind that a quarter of an inch difference can be acceptible on these trucks, again because of their age and use in the past. Shims, elongated mounting holes, etc., all come into play when re-assembling. Good luck with it....take your time and be practical, your not building a piano~.....
