To be honest with you, the last time it ran was about 4 years ago. It was running a military surplus welder mounted on a two wheel trailer. I bought it from the city that I worked for 10 years ago. It does not have the sodium cooled valves as there is no ID plate stating that. I've got 4.30's soon to be 4.10's front and rear, 900-16 NDT's all around. The calculator say's my "Effective" ratio will be 3.75. Want the long block in to give me a little more "PEP" than the 230. Installing a "Spitfire" head out of a 41' Chrysler (241CI) which has been magnifluxed and decked. Might install or have my camshaft ground to get more power. Will have the block ported. I have heard that the 237 can really be rev'ed up. I want to be able to cruise down the freeway at 60MPH's. The "Calculator says I'll be doing about 21 or 2200 RPM or there abouts; well within the range of the 237. Love those Mopar Flathead 6's.
