Do you figure they were hiding the rifle so no one could trace it as a murder weapon? It doesn't seem like a good way to save money on re bar, wasting a good rifle.
Yes, the sawzall and the hole hawg are great tools in the right hand. Fortunately I have a good plumber, the son of a better plumber, who has been doing my work since his dad died 20 years ago. But I have run several electricians away from glu-lams, trusses, and other engineered wood products, before they bored an oversize hole. There is always another route, but the simplest is the one many try to use.
