I have an 04.5(Same as 05) with the same issues. Getting ready to swap out my 3rd set of ball joints.

Since you'll have it all torn down, replace the sealed hub/bearing assembly for each side. These can be a real SOB to get off. The mid-west, east coast guys have more trouble because the winter, salted roads tend to bind everything together.

If you buy the hub bearings from Napa, ask to borrow their 3-jaw 20-ton puller, This will make the job so much easier.

Last time, I completely rebuilt my front end. Ball joints, hub/bearings, axle u-joints, tie-rod ends, new (udated version from Dodge) steering linkage with pitman arm, sway bar links and I also bought the aftermarket steering brace from BD Power.
