I just crawled under my '51. I have no reason to believe the rubber cab mounts have ever been replaced. The order of assembly looks EXACTLY what Dan showed in his images.
Note that this subject comes up on a regular basis. Some people try to replace the wood mounts used on the earlier trucks with rubber mounts used on later trucks. That is not a simple swap as the truck frames changed when the mount style changed. Keep wood on the trucks designed for wood and rubber on the trucks designed for rubber and your hood fit will need only slight tweaking.
