Try a Detroit series 60. My aerial ladder truck had a 470 horse one and the Jake was not only really loud it would about throw you through the windshield. Of course I was never bashful using it except when we went out in the middle of the night and then I would try to not use it around a lot of homes. When I first drove a big rig a 335 was the one to have. Now back in '58 it was likely a 275 or 300 with a Supercharger on it. Very cool motivation. I did drive a '54 KW with a 275 but I didn't know it was anything special at the time.
