OT recycling aluminum

I came across about 10 tons of scrap aluminum at a bargin basement price. Before purchasing it I took a sample to the local scrapyard, they took one look at it and didn't want to buy it because "it had too high a copper content"

I've never heard of aluminum that couldn't be recycled.

Anyone here ever heard of such a thing?
