I have two 24X48 machine sheds. One is finished off for the power wagons, and one is open for the tractors and stuff. Very solid construction, and I followed the USDA design plans that are available from the county ag extension service, for $2 if I recall.
They are pole buildings I built with free used telephone poles, available from the power coop. This is something that is not advertised, but many elec coops store used poles and let the public have them.
Costs were minimal. I had to buy the trusses, girts, and side joists, but you don't have to buy graded lumber in my county for an outside building like this, so got inexpensive lumber from the local sawmill.
I finished the interior and it turned out great. Much cheaper than anything else that I can see.
The only thing difference I would make at this point if I built it again, is that with a power wagon or full size pickup, 24 feet deep is a little tight. I would say 28 feet deep X 64 feet long would have been better.
One other thing, you don't need to pour a slab with this if you can't afford to at the beginning. The poles are on concrete footers. After a few years I poured the slab.
