Robert,

When I replaced my M-37 engine with a long block I also replaced the clutch and pressure plate with the 11" assembly from a 1 and 1/2 ton Dodge. If I remember correctly the flywheel on the M-37 is drilled for the 10 and 11" assembles. If not use a 1 and 1/2 ton flywheel. Put in a new throw-out bearing and pressure plate. This is the single most important upgrade you can do on these trucks. The power transfer is 100% smoother and you will stop breaking those valuable axles. Much easier on the leg and way better for off road and winch work.
