OK i havent worked on the TPS on a 92 Dodge but here GOES. The TPS is usually a 3 wire sensor. 1 wire is gound, 1 wire is the 5 volt reference and 1 wire is signal return back to the computer. so key on engine off with it disconected 1 wire should have 5 volts or very close to it. 1 wire should light a test light[ground] hook the test light up to battery volts and if the ground wire is good it will light up. With the sensor hooked up and key on engine off the signal return wire should be around 1 volt at idle or just sitting there with the key on. As the throttle opens up the voltage should slowly go up to 5 volts or close to it. The 5 volts comes from the computer. The TPS on the Dodge may have more than 3 wires on it. I have to check at the shop to make sure. you can us your volt meter to check it. Good Luck Bill.
