Back in 1999 as part of the unveiling of the concept PW Dodge asked if I would participate in a photo shoot with my 46WDX. Of course I said yes. Don Evans and I met the crew out in the desert of California. There was a all black stealthy semi parked at the meeting spot. After they checked us for cameras ( they didn't really look that hard as I think we got a few of our own shots) out came the truck. It was wrapped in a windbreaker like cover with a clear window so they could drive it around without exposing the truck. I think it had a Cat 3116 for power. Looked and sounded great. For a $1,000,000 concept vehicle I guess it should. Huge tires ,winch ... It was pretty cool. Somewhere there are some photos floating around of my green WDX and the 1999 PW cruising next to each other in the desert. Maybe someone has a copy. I agree that I would buy one too, but I think unfortunately it is probably a little to extreme for mainstream consumers.
